I purchased the tibet after never being able to get the Meindl Denali to fit right. The arch was too high. Needed a stiffer boot then the renegade.

Im in the market for some new boots and Im hoping to get some ideas. Right now Im leaning toward the Lowa Tibet GTX Hi. I have crap for ankles so I want something with solid ankle support. I love my Lowa Renegade GTX so Im pretty sure Ill like the Tibets. My only gripe is they are a bit on the heavy side at 4.2lbs.

When I bought the Tibet's, I also tried some Hanwag Alaska's. Both boots were in a wide and the Lowa barely won out. I believe the Tibet's were just a little too wide because they have a crease in the forefoot from cinching down the lases. This might be where they are leaking. I may try Tibet's again in a regular width.
