My opinion: Petrol - manual. Diesel - auto. I'd love a DCT 335i though! I agree with phil200tdi, a quick petrol engine with a slick, close ratio gearbox takes a lot of beating and although I like the 320d manual, the ratios are just too far apart on a diesel & are much better suited when hooked up to an auto. I've recently purchased a 320d m sport e90 2008 plate and unfortunately all was good until I came on to these forums and now im mega worried as ive heard many complain about the timing chains. so what I wanted to find out was, surely out there BMW sold thousands of motors between 2007-2009 that potentially had this Pros: You get a great driver's car for Rs. 10L (or maybe even lesser if you negotiate hard). Nothing else in the current market at Rs. 10L will match the driving pleasure of this car. You will get to experience the BMW ownership and all the joys and pains that come with it. This car is a true blue BMW. Does anyone know if and when the E90 320d will get 177hp instead of 163hp. I've also read of 320d with 177hp for E9x. But that doesn't make too much sense IMO. They just launched the 325d with 197hp as an exact median between 163 (320d) and 231hp (330d). 177hp would be too close to 197hp, and I don't think they will raise all hp in the diesel You could look into a bmw performance exhaust for the 320d, not the cheapest option though. i got myself a full 330D exhaust system for 100quid off a breaking car on ebay. not fitted it yet, but will be getting my car de-catted and get the decat made up to match the larger bore of the 330 exhaust. The Logic 7 is great but the standard system is lousy. And it´s not easy to upgrade the system with the stock radio (no pre-amp-out) Reorder and go for the Logic7.
